TwitchHiker chats to STA travelbuzz
At STA travelbuzz we try to keep abreast of all that’s going on in the world of social media and travel. In doing so we learnt of TwitchHiker, also known as the charming Paul Smith, who one day decided to find out how far across the globe Twitter could get him.
The result was quite far, from Gateshead to Stewart Island, New Zealand in 30 days relying entirely on Twitter and the goodwill of the people using the micro-blogging service. This is of course amazing stuff, so we thought we’d see if Paul wanted to drop by and have a chat – he did! Taking the form of the two Audioboos below the story of TwitchHiker can be heard below, along with a mention of facial hair…
If you want to learn more about Paul’s adventure, click through to the blog behind it all and enjoy @twitchhiker. I’d highly recommend doing this if only to marvel at the highs and lows Paul experienced on his trip, such as the notable high of meeting Liv Tyler or the notable low of realising no-one in Pittsburgh wants you to stay with them. Honestly, it’s all great stuff and at STA travelbuzz we’d just like to say a big thanks to Paul. Thanks Paul!
