Last Thursday was the last of October and therefore saw STA travelbuzz host our travel meet, which this month had a distinctly Latin America theme.

It was another well attended affair with some of our beloved Explorers and usual suspects (@alice_walkabout, @fillingthepages, and @travelingeditor) getting involved along with new faces too, such as @benkent66 who we immediately press ganged into using Twitter! There were also meet-up.com attendees, who wasted no time at all getting involved, and Anna who joined us from the STA Travel Kensington store. She is a fountain of knowledge on all that is Latin America and as part of the evening passed on her expertise to those gathered.

To accompany the themed refreshments (Sangria anyone?), Francisco, part of the travelbuzz collective, took charge of entertainment and teaching a little bit of Spanish. Due to his sterling work the games went down a treat with dangerous levels of enthusiasm and the language lessons actually broke down barriers, sort of…
