Marianne is many things, an STA Travel £10 Pom 2009, a Travelbuzz Explorer (Escaping the Grind), a blogger and a tweeter and, as it turns out, a pretty good ten pin bowler too.

As I’m sure you’re already aware part of our celebrations for STA Travel’s 30^th birthday involved us careering around London in a Routemaster taking in the countries of India, America, England and Ireland. Marianne was with us for the tour and you can read her perspective on the evening in her post, Around the world without leaving London.

Now, when it got to the America leg of the trip (represented by a spot of ten pin bowling), we were all expecting great things – and she didn’t disappoint,

“As the only member of the posse to have actually lived in the US, there was a lot of pressure on me, and while the girls did lose, I feel I scored well enough to walk out with my head held high.”
