Samantha, our STA Explorer known as Fashionably Melbourne has been living up to her name attending Melbourne parties all over the hip city!

First was a bash for the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) that had a novel way of making sure everyone mingled,

“I went along with 3 other photographers and on entry everyone had to hand in a 5×7 print of one of their own photographs. […] These images were all given out randomly mid-evening and you then had to find and talk to the person that had yours, and vice versa, the person with yours had to find you. This was such a great idea and an excuse to network.”

This was followed by some getting down at the Glow Studio HoHoHo Christmas Party. Despite a minor panic when she thought her phone was lost (it turned out to have been misplaced) an exceptional evening was had,

“I’m sure there will be some good pictures on the way to document this night, G.Studios you know how to throw a party, well done sirs!”

Can’t wait to see some of the photos, and in terms of working holidays, doing it in a manner similar to Samantha sounds as though it’d be great! Especially for anyone who has a creative side – Melbourne could be the place for you.
