Round the world travel tips from Stevo
Some of you might know about our STA Explorers scheme, designed to help STA travellers make the most of social media to spread their travel opinions, experiences and tips to fellow itchy-footed folk.
Stevo is our latest Explorer to join the team, and he and his travel buddy Ady have already got busy posting some excellent advice about the preparations for their forthcoming round the world trip, during which they will be hitting North America (New York and LA), Fiji and New Zealand, before topping up funds with 5 months in Australia on a work visa. Then it’s twelve weeks through Singapore, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and finally Hong Kong.
From Stevo’s own derscription of himself, it sounds like theirs will be a blog worth watching:
I like to travel, although my travel so far has been mostly limited to Europe so looking forward to expanding that a bit. I like live music, big (massive!) lover of food, bit of a gadget addict, enjoy running and being outdoors and am really looking forward to trying a few things I’ve never tried (Blackwater rafting is currently top of my list). Also looking forward to partying in as many cities as we can manage!
Check out his initial posts where he describes the fine details of booking flights and his experiences with STA Travel Birmingham:
She took the time (2 hours I think?!) to tell us about all the available options for RTW tickets that were available and advised us which would be best to satisfy our needs; it turned our that satisfying our needs required us to alter our (over ambitious) needs but we were able to get there in the end
…as well as giving the results on his extensive research to find the perfect travel bag (including how to get a discount) and Ady’s post on their must-do list so far.
