Graham is visiting every country

The Odyssey is the site of Graham Hughes, a man who loves the world so much he’s going to visit every country. In doing so he’ll be stepping foot in 200 sovereign states, raising £1,000,000 for WaterAid and all without flying or driving – public transport only.

This epic adventure came to our attention in his most recent post, Day 275: Five Pounds a Page, in which he mentions STA Travel,

I then headed out to find bus times to Gabarone, the capital of Botswana. This turned out to be improbably difficult. I was, however, helped out by the nice folks at STA Travel, who probably deserve a mention since I also booked my original flight to South America through them.”

The five pounds a page refers to his passport, specifically his new passport that is going to cost him a two hundred quid, something that is contrary to his shoestring budget. However, he takes it on the chin and gets on with his travelling; he really doesn’t have the time to hang about.

Although saying that, in one post he has squeezed in a trip to the cinema, listening to Rage against the Machine and a ride on the beer scooter… To revel in the ambition and madness of Graham’s adventure click through to The Odyssey, and follow him @theodysseyexp!
