This means Alice will be without her man for two months,

“He’s gone to Australia, and its 2 months till I’ll see him again. I’m jealous as anything, he’s there in the land of sun, sea and surf already and I’m stuck in dreary England.”

The send off at his local cricket club went smoothly, oiled by a few jars of the good stuff. Before they knew it though Alice and Geoff found themselves in the airport departure lounge where reality set in,

“Unsurprisingly I cried, and our last few minutes together just involved him calming me down, so it wasn’t that romantic.”

Romantic maybe not Alice, but it does paint quite a tender scene even despite you signing off the post with,

“I’ll be there soon with you ratbag!!”
