Last time we checked in on Ady, the remaining half of the Globe-Trotting Guys, he was hoping to catch a lift to Cairns. Well, he caught one and it turned out to be quite eventful.

Racing across the sweltering Aussie outback in a Subaru station wagon there were more moments of unexpected excitement than one may think, for instance take Ady’s first stint behind the wheel,

“I drove through Larrimma first, and almost hit a peacock, of all things…. There were two of them just walking around!”

This turned out to be the least of their worries as the ‘tank’ of a Subaru began to falter. Finally in Cairns and enjoying it greatly, Ady took some time to think on future plans and the conclusion he reached was time to call it a day – Ady’s coming home!

“I have had a great time and I now have an excuse for another trip to come back and travel through SE Asia in the future… and do it properly! I would hate to miss some stuff just because I have to budget too hard. Plus a break from hostels now would be great! Haha.”
