Become an STA Explorer
RIP discovery, so long adventure: this tired old globe is plain explored out. On a planet where every sea has been sailed, every border breached and every new land reduced to an ‘I went to Brobdingdang and all I got was this lousy T-shirt’ T-shirt, the Age of the Explorer is dead.
Or is it?
Not if STA travelbuzz have anything to do with it. We’re looking for bold, brilliant pioneers to cross the final travel frontier. Yes, my curious friends: The Internet.
If you’ve recently booked a trip with STA Travel and are planning to travel in the next few months, we’d love you to become an STA Explorer and use blogs, photos, videos, podcasts, and all the latest and best social media tools to record your journey - which we’ll then link to and discuss on STA travelbuzz. The hope is that by reading your experiences, viewing your photos, and watching your videos, fellow travellers online can get a real insight into the places you visit, the way you travel and (hopefully) learn something for their own journey. And you’ll get an amazing multimedia record of your time away, and maybe a smidge of internet celebrity to boot.
We’re working on the premise that people going away don’t want to speak to a slick travel salesman in a suit or trawl through glossy tourist-trap brochures - they want to see what real people are saying about their experiences of planning, funding, booking and of course actually going on their trip, in an honest, direct, and entertaining way.
So send us an email and join our new web-taming band of explorers, STA stylie.
